Good Friday - Few things to know about the day

  Dear students, Today we are enjoying holiday as our school is closed due to Good Friday; but did you know why this Friday is called Good Friday? What is the importance of the day? Let's know about the day. Good Friday, the Friday before Easter, is the Christian day to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Calvary. This Christian holiday is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Great and Holy Friday, and Black Friday. For Christians, Good Friday is an important day of the year because it celebrates a momentous weekend in the history of the world. Ever since Jesus died and was raised, Christians have proclaimed the cross and resurrection of Jesus to be the decisive turning point for all creation. On Good Friday, we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.
